Clara University's Leavey School of Business is the heart of

Program Format
The program offers an excellent opportunity to visit local
companies from the vantage point of a prestigious academic
environment which can allow participants to build business and
personal relationships with leaders in Silicon Valley.
Distinguished guest speakers with unique business perspectives
share their experience and help sharpen understanding for

The program is offered in English with some supporting
material in Mandarin Chinese. It is filled with academic
activities, industry visits, and local sightseeing tours.

Offered at the beautiful and historic Santa Clara
University campus, this intensive program is not all study and
serious talk. Learning is combined with enjoyment of the
sights and weather of beautiful California. Tours to San

At the conclusion of this intensive and rewarding learning
experience, Santa Clara University will host a graduation
ceremony in honor of participants where each participant will
receive a certificate of accomplishment.

Led by faculty from the Leavey School of Business and
supported by industry experts, the program is designed to
foster in-depth discussion of current issues affecting Chinese
industry and to forge closer ties with local industry and

Participating Companies for Industry Visits
Industry visits and interaction with local managers are a
major component of our program. Participants can visit and
discuss the issues and solutions practiced in Silicon Valley
today. Companies that have opened their doors to groups in the
past include: SAP, Cisco Systems, Sun Microsystems, Port Of
Oakland, AG Edwards, HP, and more´ Please note that your
specific program may or may not include visits to the
companies mentioned above. Speakers are also selected from a
distinguished roster and may change on short notice. Every
effort is made to secure the most compelling industry visits
and speakers for our participants.
Registration and Program Fee
Program Fee: US$8,800
Early Bird discount: sign up before April 30, 2004 and pay
only US$8,300
The program fee includes: University tuition, a three-star
hotel stay for the duration of the program, transportation to
and from school and industry visits, refreshments during
academic activities and three meals daily. Services do not
include airfare, visa services or fees, health insurance,
hotel telephone expenses or room service.
